Self- reflection Therapy (S-R Therapy)
Every time we hear self reflection we may immediately think of our self knowledge, and self improvement. But if we are going to analyze the meaning of Self Reflection it is about taking the time to figure out who we are, as individuals and as a human. It requires us to stop and take a look at who we really are; what makes us our value. It includes looking at what we care about most, as well as how and why we feel and act the way that we do in given situations. This therapy is based on Psychoanalytic seek to help client understand unconscious which affect current emotion and behaviors.
View of human life
In order to understand who we are as a human we can set some questions that would help to reflect our own self:
· What can I do to be more productive in my professional development?
· What resentments do I need to resolve in order to move forward more optimistically and with a fresh mind?
· What did I make mistakes to my family, friends, and classmates?
· How does my misbehavior started?
This sample of questions guides to examine our self what kind of person we are. Self Reflection also allows us to identify and ‘own’ our traits, both our personality traits and our value. When we are able to recognize our traits, as we reflect we are able to monitor our interactions with others. Both from the standpoint of why we are feeling the way we do and our actions that result from those feelings.
Development of Maladaptive behavior
People who are feeling depress, isolated, lack of attention, aggressive, neglect, rejection, etc. are the common factors that develop their misbehavior.
As we see our face, figure, and dress in the glass, and are interested in them because they are ours, and pleased or otherwise with them according as they do or do not answer to what we should like them to be; so in imagination we perceive in another's mind some thought of our appearance, manners, aims, deeds, character, friends, and so on, and are variously affected.
